On Tuesday 23rd August The Jubilee Jazz Band performed with several guest artists: Werner Kitzig (clarinet, not pictured) Javi Blanquer (drums) and Ted Brown (banjo). Rene Dossin recently joined the band on double bass, but on this occasion he was featured playing the sousaphone. Javi himself was called out last minute because Nigel Clegg (the drummer advertised) was indisposed. The guest musicians fitted in vary admirably, so it was another happy evening on the terrace of Monroe's Carvery, Pedreguer. Keen fans might notice that it was too hot to wear the usual uniform. Come to The Jubilee Jazz Band performance at Monroe's Carvery! It's every Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm.
We are pleased to announce that as of 9th August, Rene Dossin (Belgian double bass player) joined The Jubilee Jazz Band. He will share the Tuesday nights at Monroe's with John Shenton (double bass) - one week on, one week off. Meanwhile Ted Brown (banjo) has returned to Spain for a few weeks, and he will replace Patrick Clancy (piano) who is away from Monroe's Carvery on
16th, 23rd and 30th of August. Welcome back Ted! We are also pleased to announce that Nigel Clegg (drums) will appear with the band again on 23rd August. |
